 Nothing is black and white anymore.
Everything is gray; territory lines that were clear before have become blurred, thin boundaries between right and wrong have been crossed, smudged into non-existence. The four Clans (AspenClan, WillowClan, MeadowClan, and PineClan) have been thrown into turmoil by a simple choice — a choice made by their revered ancestors, SkyClan. The Choosing began with two little choices — SkyClan cats dividing into the Clans from which they came, and choosing a leader. The starry warriors became confused and angered, and as they did, the Clans below them mirrored their mood, bantering over prey and tail-length stretches of land. Then cam the final choice — out of the mist, a dark shadow appeared, a Shadow Forest warrior so forgotten he was like the fog itself. The SkyClan cats were enthralled by this wraith, who called himself Night, who called himself leader, who called himself an unknown word full of power and mystery — King. They were caught between helping the Clans and following Night into the long-forgotten Shadow Forest, but while Night was becoming clearer and stronger, the Clans were fading in the eyes of the SkyClan cats, the land misting over deceptively. Then SkyClan did something known never before.
They choose the dark.
The Clans are struggling, for since the beginning of time, they have mirrored SkyClan with their choices, their squabbles, even their agreements... but to imitate their ancestors in this Choosing... this will mean death.
